Lakewarden is my Sophomore year studio animation at Texas A&M, and I was the Lead Sound and Co-Lead Character Modeling. I worked with 8 other people over the course of a semester to create this short film. This is definitely the largest group I have ever worked with, and the project came with many challenges as we chose to mimic and underwater environment. Luckily, the Unreal Engine knowledge I gained over the summer while working on Creature Cache allowed me to troubleshoot many issues and help out other teams as well. Overall, I am very happy with the results and am excited to work on more studio projects in the future.
I created this pre-visualization 2 weeks into the semester to help my team get an idea of how our short could look in 3D. With this video, I managed to convince my team to use Unreal Engine 5.2 for the project even though they only had experience using Renderman. Live rendering helped us a lot, and I'm really happy my team was willing to take a risk and learn a new program. Robot Model by Adriancgmask, UE5 Water Blueprint by Karim Abou Shousha.
